Development of the Student Helpline – "Meet the Rare"
In 2025, our Student Section for Rare Diseases at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine proudly continues its lecture series aimed at familiarizing medical students with rare diagnoses and the needs of those living with rare diseases.
Each lecture in the series features a talk by a medical expert on a specific rare disease, followed by a personal story from an individual affected by the same condition. This unique format allows attendees to learn the theoretical aspects of the disease in an engaging way, and immediately afterwards hear a real-life account of what it means to live with such a diagnosis.
The series is open not only to medical students but to anyone interested in the field of rare diseases.
The lecture schedule and registration details will be announced soon. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. The registration link will be available here once the dates are published.
The project has been co-funded since September 1, 2024, by the City of Zagreb – Office for Social Protection, Health, War Veterans and Persons with Disabilities.
