Rare Disease Day 2023 – #IAmAZebraToo

On the last day of February, we marked another Rare Disease Day 2023 — in zebra stripes!
The Croatian Alliance for Rare Diseases, in collaboration with the City of Zagreb and its Department for Social Protection, Health, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities, launched a city-wide media campaign featuring citylight and jumbo posters with the teaser “Why does the zebra have stripes?” The celebration culminated on February 28th with a traditional public gathering in the heart of Zagreb.

Citizens of Zagreb gladly took zebra-striped ribbons and posed for photos within a zebra-striped frame, showing their support for fellow citizens living with rare diseases. This year’s campaign also engaged numerous schools, and children are still sending us their colorful zebra drawings, which we’ll continue to share on our social media as a tribute to our youngest little zebras.
On Friday, March 3, to mark Rare Disease Day, our medical students — volunteers involved in the Student Rare Disease Helpline — are organizing the 4th Student Symposium on Rare Diseases.

We are proud of their dedicated work, commitment, and numerous initiatives, all of which we are pleased to support.
Ovom prilikom zahvaljujemo svim medijima na suradnji i praćenju naših aktivnosti, donatorima i volonterima koji su omogućili obilježavanje Dana rijetkih bolesti na primjeren način.
