Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Awareness Day
Today we mark CRPS/RSD Awareness Day — a global event held every year on the first Monday of November to promote awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS / RSD).

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), is a chronic pain condition characterized by continuous, intense, and often burning pain that is disproportionate to the severity of the initial injury.
Symptoms may include:
- changes in skin color and temperature in the affected area,
- increased skin sensitivity,
- excessive sweating,
- swelling and changes in skin texture.

CRPS can significantly affect daily life, and early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are crucial for relieving symptoms.
CRPS is a complex and often misunderstood condition. Many patients go through years of uncertainty and misdiagnosis. This day serves as an opportunity to educate the public, encourage empathy, and remind those living with CRPS that they are not alone.
