The 30th Croatian Symposium of Persons with Disabilities with International Participation, held under the theme “UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities – Nothing About Us Without Us – From Slogan to Reality,” took place on October 29 and 30, 2025, at the University of Zagreb.

The Symposium was organized by the Croatian Union of Associations of Persons with Disabilities (SOIH), the Institute for Expertise, Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, the Croatian Employment Service, and AccessibleEU Croatia.

The event was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy (MROSP), and the City of Zagreb.

The Croatian Symposium of Persons with Disabilities with International Participation successfully brought together numerous experts, representatives of institutions and organizations, and provided a strong platform for dialogue and the exchange of experiences on accessibility, personal assistance, employment, education, digital inclusion, parasports, and innovation. Throughout the two-day program, participants presented the latest practices, legislative developments, and projects that contribute to greater inclusion and quality of life for persons with disabilities. The Symposium highlighted significant progress, while also emphasizing the need to further strengthen support systems and cooperation. Through constructive discussions and examples of good practice, the shared vision of building a society of equal opportunities — a society where no one is excluded — was reaffirmed.

This year’s Symposium was further enriched by inspiring lectures, dynamic panel discussions, numerous exchanges of experiences, and an outstanding level of engagement and contribution from the participants.
